3 Steps for Optimizing Every Blog Entry You Write

If you’re a blogger, the key to your success is to get more traffic, right? In order to do that, you’ll need to learn a little bit about SEO (search engine optimization.) Here are some SEO tips that can help you get found and hopefully increase the profitability of your blog:

Step # 1 Optimize Your Blog Entry with SEO Tags

Beyond simply adding a blog entry, use the tools available in your blog to help you optimize for search engines. There are a lot of fields you can utilise in the blog control panel that, when used, help search engines find your site. Fields populated in your blog entry can directly translate to more traffic. Utilize your H1 tags, title tags, meta tags, headspace meta data fields, and give tags to your images as well! Use these fields with relevant keywords wherever possible. Do your research and think about keywords before you write the blog post.

Step # 2 Optimize Your Content

Write a catchy title that’ll contain a keyword AND attract people to click. You want related keywords liberally (but naturally) sprinkled throughout your content. Add main keywords to your title, the beginning and end of your content and in your subheadings. Don’t sacrifice keyword density for high quality but after you’ve written a great blog post, make sure you SEOize it!

Step # 3 Promote Your Blog Post

After you’ve uploaded a great article and made sure you’ve used all important fields, promote that blog post with social media tools:

· Submit your RSS feeds to directories,

· Use life streaming tools to tell your online followers that you’ve got a new post,

· Link to that new post in another blog with a relevant keyword, consider article marketing to promote that blog entry,

· Write a HubPage that links to it,

· And generally do a few actions for each new entry so that you can drive traffic to it.

Learn as much as you can about SEO and follow these three steps, which will quickly become second nature to you and you’ll undoubtedly see a nice spike in your incoming traffic!
